OpenOffice.org Peer Learning Event: NYC June 5

Thursday June 5, 2008, in NYC at Google Headquarters.

Come to the OpenOffice.org "untraining". Spend a day with others who also work with OpenOffice.org, and gain insights into how best to use it, how to solve specific problems, and where to find resources.

* Learn about OOo's unique features, including built-in PDF
export for all types of documents
* Understand how open standards for documents give you long-term flexibility
* See how easy it can be to share documents between OOo, MS Office
and Google Docs
* Explore how others are already using OOo to support their nonprofit productivity
* Get help solving specific OOo questions and issues

There will be demos, small group discussions, as well as problem solving sessions. Bring your laptop (of any kind) and be ready to roll up your sleeves, and dig into OpenOffice.org!

This event is now FULL. Sorry!!

The event wiki is up! Those of you that registered will be hearing from me, probably tomorrow, with more info.

Open Office training

Will you be doing other workshops along this line? Surely if this one filled up so quickly that indicates enough interest for more?

Please let me know,

More trainings

That is kind of unclear at the moment. We don't have any funding to do more free ones at the moment, but hopefully...
